Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases
Dr. Haber is an honors graduate from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his medical training from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, graduating in 1986. Dr. Haber completed a medical internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals. He then had specialty Fellowship training in pulmonary diseases at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Haber completed his Pulmonary Fellowship in 1991 and entered into private practice.
Dr. Haber is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Diseases through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He holds staff privileges at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital, Select Specialty Hospital, Memorial Hermann Hospital Northwest, and Kindred Healthcare. Dr. Haber is the former President of the Harris County Medical Society Western Branch, and is active in Harris County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Haber sees patients with a variety of lung conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung disease and sleep apnea. He has clinical interest in pneumoconioses (dust diseases of the lung), lung cancer, and occupational asthma. He has published on COPD and mesothelioma.
Dr. Haber is a NIOSH-certified B-reader and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the Houston Academy of Medicine, and the Texas Academy of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is a certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). He was named one of Houston’s Top Doctors in H Texas magazine.
